Description

Blocking Reagents (Blockers) are a class of materials used in the development of immunoassays or in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assays to minimize interference from proteins or other factors in samples, thereby preventing potential false-positive or false-negative results. These interfering factors may include, but are not limited to, endogenous antibodies, polyreactive antibodies, autoantibodies (such as heterophilic antibodies), and human anti-animal antibodies (HAAA). The use of blocking reagents aims to enhance assay performance, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results.
